This delicate robe badge is professionally hand embroidered in 90% silver and 2wm gold and enhanced with coloured silks. It features a velvet garter with the inscription "Tria Juncta in Uno" which translates as "three join to become one". This motto was historically thought to refer either to the Union of England, Scotland and France, or to the Union of England, Scotland and Ireland, or to the Holy Trinity.

The Most Noble Order of the Garter is the highest English Order of Chivalry and is one of the most important of all such Orders throughout the world. The badge is presented on a square patch of dark blue velvet which could be used to frame this item. Embroidered by hand in 2wm gold wire and 90% silver, this Order is worn on the left side of the mantle, and depicts a shield of the arms of St George (Argent a Cross Gules) within the Garter which is shown buckled and edged with gold embroidery and having the motto in gold letters.
 

A crowned black double-headed eagle in the centre with St. Andrew crucified upon it; on the centre of the badge are the Latin letters 'Santus Andreas Protector Russee'. This translates as (for 'St. Andrew, Protector of Russia'). It is worn on a pale blue sash over the left shoulder, or on special occasions on an elaborate 'collar' (chain). Measures 9cm by 8.5cm

The Nelson Order of St. Ferdinand is hand embroidered with Goldwire and sprangles, depicting St. Ferdinand in a blue and white silks cloak, clutching a silver wire sword with gold kilt. Surrounding points of the crest features silver spangles, cut to shape and embroidered on black cloth.  Larger Image

The Nelson Order of St Joachim is designed in 2Wm gold and 90% silver with silk embroidered centre on white raycott, surrounded by a raised green velvet garter with gold smooth purl lettering edged with gold pearl purl. The four points of the cross is worked in 90% silver spangles sewn down silver rough purl. This order is made on a holland and tissue paper ground.

The Nelson Order of the Crescent features raised midnight blue velvet centre depicting silver plaited embroidered star and crescent moon. Silver plaiting surround edged with gold wire and cut clean out on black cloth. Worn by high ranking civilian officers, state heads and selected members of the royal family, this is a valuable collector's item and will make a fantastic present
